ArtWineDine

We're in the swing of Asia now, and enjoying a new concept that my artist in residence husband takes part in and they are ArtWineDine events. These events are put on by the resorts and attract an expat as well as resort guest following.
This dinner was special!
Excellent company, exquisite food (the chef cooked Confit of Lamb rack, truffle & rosemary mash with a ratatouille drizzle - he tells us privately that it he has cooked it for Tetsuya Wakuda) and the menus where hand painted by Chris....it all goes to make these parties something very special...yes, I am wearing the same evening jacket but hey it's a good one!!
In the last photo, we are at a wine tasting with a wonderful new friend who knows all about wine, that's because she's an award winning winemaker from Tassie! She taught me to pronounce 'Viognier' ...correctly and that I will be forever grateful....V...ON (& so that you get the meaning... she not very discretely points to her crouch when she says it)...and then let out a 'Yaaa!' She also told me an interesting stat.....the average length of time a person in Australia cellars their wine is 40 minutes! Just enough time to drive from the bottle shop to home!

It's Saturday, it must be Phuket!

This is a photo of our house in Phuket; from the outside, it sits in magnificent tropical gardens that are tended every day by small Thai women dress in fashionable blue denim wide legged PJ - style outfits. Always smiling and greeting me with a bright SawedeeKa!

Here are the ducks that inhabit the pond that surrounds the resort. One lone duckling has hatched and spends it's days with it's mum and dad by the spa!
